Description

TLDR: $529pw studio April til July, 5-20 min walk from UniMelb/RMIT, great location close to CBD & shops & food, fun events for residents. Contact me for more details and to arrange an inspection!

Hi everyone! I'm looking for someone to take over my lease at Scape Cornell Place, around mid-April to 9 July 2025. I'm an international student who arrived (and moved in) 6 months ago, it's been great living here while I settled down and explored the city, but now I feel confident enough to move out.

KEY INFORMATION
💰 $529 per week, bills included (air-conditioning, electricity, internet, water).
‼️ (Single) Studio Apartment @ Scape Cornell Place. I had a chat with the staff and apparently the building is >95% booked out right now. The next available bookable Studio room on their website is for the next semester... Very high demand!!
🛏️ Fully furnished (full-sized fridge, double bed, ensuite toilet & shower).
📅 Lease ends 9 July (can renew). Hoping to find someone to take over by mid-to-late April.

GREAT LOCATION
📍 Super close to UniMelb, RMIT (within 5-20 mins walk, depends on the actual location of your building).
🚃 Trams right at your doorstep! Just outside the Free Tram Zone but you can walk ~10 mins to get to it (or risk 2 stops iykwim). 8-min walk / 3-min tram to Melbourne Central station where you can take a train to anywhere.
🛍️ Located along Swanston Street, close to but kind of at the edge of the CBD so it's not too busy but still really easy to get to the stores. Great for accessing a ton of events and festivals in the city.
🍝 Really close to Lygon Street, the Little Italy of Melbourne. There are lots of restaurant options in the area.
🛒 Groceries: Within 10-min walk of Woolworths (QV), Coles (Melb Central), Queen Victoria Market. ALDI is 4-min away, you're across the road from Mr Dad Asian Supermarket, lots of other asian marts in the area and especially if you head to Chinatown.

BUILDING INFO
🛋️ I inspected lots of Scape properties but this was the best in terms of building facilities. Really big open communal spaces, gym, study room, printer (5 cents per black & white pg!!! ), gaming room (there's a free Nintendo Switch i think), secure bike storage, large kitchen areas, theatre room. Most importantly, ... (see next point)
🧺 A LOT of washing machines and dryers (at least 15 of each) in the building. There are always available machines when I want to do laundry. Other Scape buildings have way fewer machines so this is a huge perk.
🛠️ Staff are really nice and sweet, I'm gonna miss them so much. 24/7 concierge & security so it's super safe and your deliveries are safe too. :-) If anything breaks in your apartment, you can easily get help from the staff, which is really assuring for students living on their own for the first time.
🚲 You can borrow these for free from the building: Bicycle, iron (for clothes), vacuum cleaner.

OTHER PERKS
🏙️ The room is on the 10th floor, opposite it is an empty lounge space with stunning city views. The room has the square-ish floor plan on the website with big windows (most rooms are long/rectangular with narrow windows).
💃🏼 Lots of free and heavily-subsidised events for residents. Some examples: weekly bouldering, pilates, yoga, baking/cooking, crafts, free catered dinners for special events (e. G, thanksgiving/christmas), other fun events, workshops, bus-chartered day trips to sightseeing locations like Phillip Island/Dandenong/Melb Zoo/Anglesea. Lots of opportunities to make friends, get free food, or try new things and pick up new skills!!
🤔 Since you're taking over my lease, you get a short-term stay for a standard cheaper year-long rent fee. Otherwise half-year rent would be +$40/week ($569). Three months is a good length of time to settle in and figure out where you might want to move to next.

Please contact me (email preferred) if you're interested and we can arrange an inspection. 💕 Happy to provide photos or any other details as well.
